In Year 6, we have been finding out more about cyber bullying.  We all worked together to create a quiz and PowerPoint.  We wrote poems about our feelings and put some of these on to a podcast.  We used  various websites to help us find out information.
What is it?

Even though cyber bullying cannot hurt you physically it leaves you feeling vulnerable and mentally stressed. It involves taunting someone via the computer or by mobile phone : Sending viruses or signing onto an account just to collect personal data is a term of cyber-bullying, as is sending someone an anonymous text message, taunting them. Escaping cyber- bullying is very difficult. The bully can access your mobile phone and your computer at any time, any place, anywhere. Those bullied can take ages to recover from the messages, even if they have blocked the sender. If you ever get cyber- bullied , then report the bully to the social  network site or to a grown up. Be aware. Be safe. Be careful…                                   By Saskia

What to do if you're bullied:

Keep evidence of cyber bullying and save the message.

Don’t reply to the message.

Report it if possible. Most mobile phone operator let you block a number.

Always respect others and don’t retaliate.

Protect your accounts and don’t share your passwords.

Tell an adult about the incident.
